Discover the palace of Rundāle, and explore Bauska Castle, one of the most special locations in in Latvia.
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Number 18 on Grēcinieku iela in Riga, once we're all together, we'll hop on the minibus and leave the city behind to head south towards Rundāle Palace. The journey will take approximately 1.5 hours.
Once we've arrived at Rundāle Palace, we'll explore this baroque masterpiece, which was completed in 1768 by the Dukes of Curlandia, as Latvia was formerly known. We'll explore every corner and room of this magnificent example of Baroque architecture, as well as its impressive gardens. Did you know that you can find up to 600 varieties of roses there?
After visiting the palace, we'll head to Bauska Castle Tower, a medieval fortification located at the confluence of two rivers. It's a truly unique landscape that you won't be able to resist photographing!
Finally, we'll head back to the capital and bring this tour to an end after 5 hours together.
