Day of the Dead in Tlaquepaque
At the designated time, we'll meet next to the famous letters of Tlaquepaque. At the meeting point, we'll give a short introduction to the history, symbols, and deep significance that the Day of the Dead has in Mexcio. It's time to dive into this tradition!
If you're enjoying the tour on November 2, we'll first head to the Cementerio Municipal de Tlaquepaque. We'll respectfully stroll among its mausoleums, seeing the traditions that families honor their loved ones. Plus, we'll participate in a very special gesture: we'll decorate a forgotten tomb with flowers and a small offering so no one is left without light on their journey back.
Then, we'll head to the Centro Cultural El Refugio. We'll explore its rooms to admire the colorful altars and seasonal exhibitions, unraveling together the meaning of such essential elements as papel picado, marigold flowers, and pan de muerto.
Our tour will continue by walking on the legendary Calle Independencia. We'll walk surrounded by art galleries and ceramic and craft shops, soaking up the spectacular festive atmosphere and the decorations that completely transform the streets of Tlaquepaque during these dates.
After 3 hours, we'll conclude the tour at the Jardín Hidalgo. In the heart of the Pueblo Mágico, we'll share the last legends and say our goodbyes after truly connecting with the essence of the Day of the Dead in Jalisco.

Admission to the Cementerio Municipal in Tlaquepaque and the offering are available only on November 2. If you book on earlier or later dates, we'll enjoy the rest of the festive itinerary through the center of Tlaquepaque, but we will not visit the mausoleum.
